My name is Wayne Cannon and I'm the owner and manager of this business... Life Saver Of Houston. Here is my story on why and how I started this business.
In 2002, my wife Bonnie and I were living just north of Orlando, Florida. While visiting one of our family's friends our 2 year old son Alexander accidentally fell into their swimming pool and nearly drowned. He sank very quickly to the bottom of that pool. I quickly dived into that swimming pool and saved him.

That accident really shook-up my wife and I. At that time, I was working in the construction trades industry from electrical to landscape design. My wife Bonnie owned and managed a childcare business. However, she was so moved from our experience with Alex's near drowning that she shortly thereafter sold her business and became a certified swim instructor. She focused on teaching young children to swim and float.
Bonnie was very successful at her new line of business. Soon, others took notice and she was offered a terrific position as a swim instructor in the greater Houston area. We moved to Houston, Texas in the spring of 2009.
Bonnie continued to do very well and I continued to work in the construction trades industry. My wife was very happy in her new career. She kept telling me that I should become a swim instructor or at least seek a line of work in the aquatics industry.
So, In 2013 I started researching all of the removable pool fence manufacturers in the marketplace. I knew that if I got into that line of work that I only wanted to sell the best. Cost was important, but the quality of construction and the fence's contribution towards safety was most important.
After month's of research, I narrowed the list of manufacturers down to one (1)... Life Saver Pool Fence. They had the best removable pool fence on the market and I wanted to be their Houston distributor.

I contacted by telephone Life Saver's home office in Delray Beach, Florida. I explained to them my interest and that I had been in the construction trades industry for 30 years. They immediately put the president of Life Saver on the telephone with me.
That was it... Life Saver's corporate office had been looking for a distributor in the Houston market. One week later, I was on an airplane headed to Florida for factory training. Life Saver Of Houston had been born!
That's my story and I'm proud to say that I'm loving this line of work. I know that each time I install a new removable pool fence system, I have made a family's home pool a whole lot safer for the children and pets that may be around it. That's why Life Saver Of Houston uses the slogan, "Keeping Little Feet And Paws On Solid Ground!"
And, keep in mind, if your children are unable to swim or float, seriously consider calling my wife Bonnie at (832) 366-3008. For more information, read her story here.
