And, that's what our staff has been trained to do. Here are some of the important things that we do:
Preparation And Layout - Vitally Important
Learning exactly what the customer is looking for and what they want is vitally important. If there is a problem with what the customer wants and/or expects, these problems need to be discussed and a mutual compromise achieved. Communication is critical for this part of the job.
Once the job is clearly understood, measurement and layout is the next critical step. Our installers have been taught to completely layout and mark the entire job before any of the actual work begins. This layout and all of the measurements are double-checked before the first hole is drilled.
Precision Wet Core Drilling
Life Saver installers use a special precision wet core drilling machine that will make accurate and cleanly drilled holes through the toughest concrete surfaces. Accuracy is important to keep fence lines straight and to prevent sagging fence lines.
Long, Sturdy Polymer Sleeves
Once the holes are precision drilled for the fence poles, a long, sturdy polymer sleeve is inserted into each hole. Normally, these are at least 4" long and sometimes longer depending on the thickness of the concrete. These sleeves must reach into the concrete and into either the earth, sand, or gravel below. This is what prevents the concrete above from lifting should the fence be hit with a heavy force.
Custom Cuts Are Completed By Reboardering
Here is something else that most of our competitors don't do but it is something that Life Saver insists upon. Our standard pool fence lengths are 15-foot sections. However, it's not uncommon to have to make custom cut lengths to accurately follow a pool's outline. To insure that our high quality factory finish is maintained, we "Reboarder" these custom cut sections. This means that after the custom cut is made, we apply boarder material to the end of the custom cut section and reinstall the end post... just like the factory finished fence. This is another reason we ensure our installations with the manufacturer's guaranteed lifetime warranty!
